Project Brief / Briff Y Prosiect

To develop the online presence of the company via social media and to manage, curate and create original content across two platforms. We used Twitter and LinkedIn to achieve this.

Rapidgrid are a highly respected specialist Groundwork and Civil Engineering company based in South Wales, with an annual turnover in excess of £20m.

When we took on the social media responsibilities for Rapidgrid the company had no social media strategy, very few followers and were following channels that were not professionally relevant to them and had no cohesive approach to content. This projected an unhealthy and confused image of the company on their social media platforms.

We proposed a cohesive strategy and revamped their visual branding on both Twitter and LinkedIn, giving them cohesion and consistency between each social media channel and their company website. Within the first 3 months we took them from 60 Twitter followers to 500+. These new followers are sector and professionally relevant to the construction industry in the UK and the company's target audience, which is crucial for engagement.

Sgiliau / Skills

  • As the company did not have the in-house social media knowledge or skillset for curating and creating content, we create and curate all their content. Our work starts at the ideas stage and we complete every stage right through to the final product.
  • We have created drone video content, infograhpics, photo, video and image content. Initially when we took over management of their social media accounts, the direct company output was less than one post per month. We upped this to around 250 posts per month. This put their reach in the thousands in a very short space of time. Their previous reach was less than one hundred.

As a company we knew what we wanted to achieve but did not know how to achieve it. We had been active on Twitter & LinkedIn for two years but had little to no following. For a company with a turnover in excess of £20 million we felt this was unacceptable. The team at Pïoden created a clear strategy and understood our brand from the beginning and in a short space of time have significantly increased our online presence with professional and consistent brand content.
